WC TRAINING SCHOOL!!!

Hello Beautiful People !!!!!

Happy Happy New Year!!!  We at WC (Wunmmies Couture) wish you a  wonderful and prosperous year ahead. We appreciate your patronage throughout 2013, God bless you guys plenty, we hope to serve you better in 2014.

Our first major project for 2014 is the WC Training School. We conceived this idea to help individuals that have flair for fashion. To help them develop tailoring skills that would always come in handy whether or not they have a career in the fashion industry. We would teach our students the basics of sewing, and cutting.

The WC Training School will consist of a maximum of 8 students, all of which would be given adequate attention and guidance. The training section will commence 1st of February and end April 30th 2014. Video sessions will be available for students after classes via any electronic storage device.

TARGET MARKET

The WC Training School target audience is any individual male or female who wants to learn how to sew, and would be available during the time frame (1st of February and end April 30th 2014) of the programme.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. The Training Class will run for three months, Starting 1st of February and end April 30th 2014.
  2. The fees are #15,000 per month, sum total of #45,000 for the three months.  Students are allowed to pay fees per month but have to be beginning of the month before classes for that month commence.
  3. Each student must have a sewing kit. The items for the sewing kit are listed below, either students get the sewing kit from us here at WC(#14,000 per kit), or they purchase the items from the market.
  4. The training lessons will run Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 10am-2pm. Students without sewing machine at home will have to stay back after classes to practice lesson for the day. Tuesday and Friday will be for assignments and assessments.
  5. Classes start exactly 10am, every student must endeavor to be punctual.
  6. Students that are absent from class due to health issues, makeup classes will be organized for the student(s).
  7. Students who inappropriately mishandle any of the machines would be charged at a certain fee depending on the damage assessment on the machine.

 

ADVANTAGES OF WC TRAINING SCHOOL

  1.  At the end of the training section each student would be able to sketch, cut and sew basic dresses, blouses, skirts, trousers, and shirts.
  2. The students would always have their videos for reference should incase they forget a certain lesson.
  3. Students interested in Internship after training school, can intern with WC brand for two months.
  4. At the end of the training programme , a small fashion show would be organized for students to show case their projects to their friends and family.

Week 1(Feb 3rd-feb7th)

  1. Basics of Sewing
  • Learning about the machine parts and maintenance of machine.
  • Learning how to run the machine using both the manual and the motor
  • Learning how to sew on a straight line
  • Learning how to stitch

2.   Basics of Cutting

  • Learning about the human parts and how to take measurements of them
  • Learning to draft measurements
  • Learning placement of fabrics
  • Learning basic sketching

Week 2(Feb 10th-Feb14th)

  1. Cutting of bodice
  • Cutting of bodice by freehand
  • Cutting of bodice by pattern
  • Comparing bodice by pattern and freehand
  • Manipulation of the bodice both by free hand and pattern (Styling)

2.  Sewing of Bodice

  • Learning to sew the bodice cut by freehand
  • Learning to sew the bodice cut by pattern
  • Learning how to fix zips

Week 3 (Feb17th-Feb22nd)

  1. Cutting of skirt
  • Cutting of skirt by freehand
  • Cutting of skirt by pattern
  • Comparing skirt by pattern and freehand
  • Manipulation of the skirt both by free hand and pattern (Styling)

2.    Sewing of skirt

  • Learning to sew the skirt cut by freehand
  • Learning to sew the skirt cut by pattern
  • Learning how to fix zips

Week 4 (Feb24th-feb28th)

  1. Asking questions
  2. Revision of course work
  3. Assessment

Week 5(Mar3rd-Mar8th)

  1. Cutting of dresses
  • Cutting of dresses by freehand
  • Cutting of dresses by pattern
  • Comparing dresses by pattern and freehand
  • Manipulation of the dress both by free hand and pattern (Styling)

2.   Sewing

  • Learning to sew the dress cut by freehand
  • Learning to sew the dress cut by pattern
  • Learning how to fix zips

Week 6(Mar10th-Mar14th)

  1. Cutting of lining
  • Learning how to cut lining for dresses, bodice, skirts
  • Manipulation of darts, princess cuts
  • Styling

  • Learning to join the princess cuts
  • Learning to use lining to turn outfits

Week 7(Mar17th-Mar22nd)

  1. Cutting of sleeves
  • Learning to cut different types of sleeves by freehand and pattern

  • Learning to sew different types of sleeves by freehand and pattern

  2. Cutting and sewing of different types of pleats

Week 8(Mar 24th-Mar28th)

  1. Asking questions

Week 9(Mar31st-April4th)

  1. Styling of bodice
  • Learning how to cut different types of bodice
  • Learning how to sew different types of bodice

  • Comparing Trouser by pattern and freehand
  • Manipulation of the Trouser both by free hand and pattern (Styling)

2.  Sewing of Trouser

  • Learning to sew the Trouser cut by freehand
  • Learning to sew the Trouser cut by pattern.

Week 11(April14th-April18th)

  1. Cutting of Basic Shirts.
  • Cutting of Basic Shirts by freehand
  • Cutting of Shirts by pattern
  • Comparing Shirts by pattern and freehand
  • Manipulation of the shirt both by free hand and pattern (Styling)

2.   Sewing of Basic Shirts.

  • Learning to sew the shirt cut by freehand
  • Learning to sew the shirt cut by pattern

Week 12(April21st-April25th)
